Dress from vintage pattern

I made this dress from a vintage pattern that didn't have a date on it, but it's certainly 70's. The placket is a bamboo and cotton blend and the rest is a bamboo dobby. There are ties that go from the placket to the back.

Mission

I'm making this blog so I can show the stuff I made, show the stuff that other people made, and complain about things that make me mad.

You know I spend some time berating myself that I am living in a weird self-referential pod in the middle of New York, sewing my little projects while the world goes all the Hell.  And the only time I ever feel like writing something on Facebook it's at least two paragraphs long because I'm pissed off about something, and nobody reads it because Facebook is about social A.D.D., not ranting. So perhaps with this blog I can tilt with my tiny needle at the windmills of the world going all to Hell, rant at length, make pretty things, and the two will become less incompatible. That's the idea, anyway.
